ABOUT
Why I Chose Slow Living as a Cabin Crew Member
There’s a certain kind of life that comes with being cabin crew.
It’s fast, ever-changing, and often unpredictable. One day you’re waking up in Dubai, the next in a completely different part of the world, adjusting to new time zones, new environments, and new rhythms. It’s a beautiful life in many ways—but it can also be a restless one.
And somewhere along the way, I realised something:
Even though my life looked exciting on the outside, I didn’t always feel grounded on the inside.
The Tension Between Fast and Slow
Working as cabin crew means constantly being on the move. Your body is adjusting, your schedule shifts, and your sense of routine can easily disappear if you’re not intentional.
For a while, I lived like that—just going with the flow of the job, eating whatever was convenient, resting whenever I could, and not really building anything steady in my daily life.
But I started to feel the effects of that.
I felt disconnected. Tired in a deeper way. A little scattered.
And I began to crave something different.
Not a different job—but a different way of living within it.
Choosing a Slower Way
Slow living, for me, didn’t mean doing less or escaping my lifestyle.
It meant being intentional.
It meant creating small, steady rhythms that grounded me no matter where I was in the world.
Things like:
- Making nourishing food instead of always relying on convenience
- Learning simple skills like sourdough, bone broth, and kefir
- Creating quiet moments, even in a busy schedule
- Choosing rest, not just physically—but mentally and spiritually
It became less about where I was, and more about how I was living.
Staying Rooted in Faith
More than anything, this journey led me back to what truly anchors me—my faith.
In a lifestyle that is constantly moving, my relationship with God became the one thing that brings stillness.
I’ve learned that being grounded isn’t about having a perfect routine.
It’s about returning—again and again—to Him.
In hotel rooms.
On long flights.
In quiet mornings at home.
Slow living, for me, is deeply connected to this.
It’s not just about baking bread or cooking from scratch.
It’s about learning to be still, to listen, and to live with intention before God.
Building a Life Within the Lifestyle
I used to think I had to wait for a “settled” life to live this way.
Now I’m learning that I can build it right here, in the middle of a life that travels.
Through small choices.
Through daily habits.
Through the way I care for my body, my home, and my spirit.
This blog is a space where I want to share that journey.
Not as someone who has it all figured out—but as someone who is learning, slowly, how to live well.
What You Can Expect Here
In this space, I’ll be sharing:
- Life as cabin crew—the real rhythms behind the scenes

If you’re someone who also feels the tension between a busy life and a desire for something slower, deeper, and more meaningful—you’re not alone.
